SILENCE PROCESSION AND ROSARY OF THE SEVEN SORROWS OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER
PROCESION DEL SILENCIO Y ROSARIO DE LOS SIETE DOLORES DE LA SANTISIMA VIRGEN
The Procession of Silence is a catholic tradition that helps us meditate on the sorrow of the Virgin Mother. It's practiced on Good Fridays.
Traditionally, in our Church, we start at 7:00 p.m. in the parking lot. A few parishioners carry a crown of thorns, three nails, and an image of the Virgin of Sorrow in a silent procession, broken only by the sound of a drum. We process into the Church and set the crown, the nails, and the Virgin in front of the altar. Soon afterwards, we pray the Rosary, meditating on the Seven Sorrows of the Virgin.
We invite everyone who would like to meditate more deeply into the mysteries of the Passion of Our Lord to join us on Good Friday in our Church. It would also be a way to grow more in our relationship with our Heavenly Mother.
La Procesión del Silencio es una tradición católica del Viernes Santo que nos ayuda a meditar en el sufrimiento de la Virgen Madre.
Tradicionalmente, en nuestra iglesia, comenzamos a las 7:00 p.m. en el parqueo. Algunos feligreses llevan una corona de espinas, tres clavos, y una imagen de la Virgen de los Dolores en una procesión en silencio, roto solamente por el sonido de un tambor. Entramos en la Iglesia en procesión y colocamos la corona, los clavos y la Virgen frente al altar. Justo después de esto, rezamos el Rosario meditando en los Siete Dolores de la Virgen.
Invitamos a todos los que quisieran meditar más profundamente los misterios de la Pasión de Nuestro Señor a unirse a nosotros el Viernes Santo en nuestra Iglesia. También sería una buena manera de crecer más en nuestra relación con nuestra Madre del Cielo.
